Since the topic has come up, I will make a guideline now - they are not followed exactly by the point, but this is the guideline the leader and the officers follow when looking for a new officer.
Please do not apply for the status of officer! Or in other words: Please don´t call us, we will call you!
So far, we have recruited ppl as officers when we could be sure that they would be with us for a while and when they "fullfilled the criteria below" you could say.
-You have to have played the game for a while
-You have to know your way around
-You have to be online quite often
-You should if possible be familiar with at least 2 of the current 3 campaigns (but have all 3 campaigns)
-You should be able and willing to answer questions and willing to help more often than a "normal member" .
-Active forum membership is a must must!!
For the last officers we took in, we gave them a short trial period to see how they were doing as well. And, to be blunt, if ppl don´t manage their way through the trial period, they are demoted as well again.
And when I come to think of it, members can recruit and it is welcomed, but almost expected of an officer Smile
Please note this when you are trying to become an officer! If you feel that you should be officer and are overlooked by me or the other officers, let us know!
We will then have a meeting in our GH and you can speak up for yourself
